Discover and Explore New Spots
2HE-2 and her liveaboards let you realize diving projects beyond the range of land-based tec-diving-operators and exceed the abilities of recreational diving boats. 2HE-2 is very seaworthy and we have put strong emphasis on long time self-sufficiency for most demanding expeditions for several weeks.
We are constantly searching for undiscovered exciting wrecks, fascinating caves and stunning drop-offs using our Multibeam Echosounder and the Side Scan Sonar (SSS). Most wrecks and also lots of caves, lying beyond the action scope of the land-tec-bases, are still waiting to be discovered. In order to detect them, we swipe through potential areas and plot charts with the SSS and the GPS. If we have “suspicious” hits we descent and “get to the bottom of it”. Sometimes we also send the Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) down for taking a look. Our main focus is on potentially dangerous shipwrecks, of which most were sunk during the Second World War. Read more in the chapter Marine Conservation Project Clean Wreck.
Of course, we also head for known rewarding wrecks if you like. During summer season in the Mediterranean Sea and around the islands of Macaronesia in the Central Atlantic during winter season.
